Can fashion be both stunning and sustainable? Reuse on the Runway: The Exhibit makes a compelling case that it can.
Presented by Austin Creative Reuse at the Dougherty Arts Center, this exhibit showcases highlights from ACR’s 2025 runway show, where artists transform unexpected materials—fabric remnants, architectural samples, pop tabs, ticket stubs, newspapers, and more—into bold, wearable works of art. Each piece challenges traditional ideas of fashion while celebrating creativity, reuse, and environmental responsibility.
If you loved the energy of the runway show or missed it the first time, this exhibit offers a chance to take in the details, stories, and craftsmanship behind each design.
And while it’s located outside the neighborhood, this is absolutely worth the drive to support this Mueller-area gem and the artists pushing sustainable fashion forward.
